Solid choice for a corporate sales gig
Pros: Working as a Sales Representative, I've found pretty good support from my internal teams. The hybrid work schedule is a big plus, helping me juggle personal stuff. You can mostly set your own pace here in Denver, CO, which is nice.
Cons: Client demands in the electronics distribution industry mean some unpredictable late nights, especially when dealing with supply chain issues. Quarter ends are always a crunch, making work-life balance tough. Sometimes you're stuck with too many non-sales admin tasks.

Hybrid model is okay for FAEs
Pros: There's a solid hybrid model in place now, which is a big plus. As a Field Application Engineer, I get to work from home a couple of days a week. It helps a lot with personal appointments and avoiding traffic in the Denver office. They're generally okay if you need to adjust hours slightly.
Cons: While the hybrid model is there, true work flexibility can be pretty limited beyond that. It's often 2-3 specific days in the office, not a choose-your-own adventure. Some teams in electronic components distribution have tighter onsite requirements, which isn't ideal for everyone. It can feel a bit rigid if you need more flexibility than the standard setup.
Advice to Management: Try to offer more customizable hybrid options. Not all teams need the same onsite structure. More trust in employees for remote work could really boost morale and flexibility for technical roles.
