Okay for field service, but watch the hours
Pros: The job security is good in the vertical transportation industry. You learn a lot about elevator maintenance, and the pay and benefits package is decent. I liked that the core team in the Atlanta office was pretty supportive.
Cons: Work-life balance can be a real struggle, especially as a Field Service Technician. You're often on call, which means longer hours than advertised sometimes. It's tough to plan personal stuff when you're always on the go with onsite repairs.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage the on-call rotations for Field Service Technicians to improve work-life balance. More staff would help reduce the burden on existing teams.

Pay's Solid for Field Techs, Benefits Eh
Pros: The hourly pay for a Field Service Technician in Dallas, TX is pretty good. You definitely get paid for overtime, which helps out a lot. It's a stable corporate environment.
Cons: Health insurance premiums feel high, and the deductible can be tough. The 401k match isn't super competitive in the elevator industry. Dental and vision plans are just okay.
Advice to Management: Look into improving the health insurance plans and maybe bumping up the 401k match. It would make a big difference for us field teams.

Stable Field Work, Slow Career Path
Pros: The pay is pretty solid, especially for skilled trades in the elevator industry. You get decent benefits and job security is good since it's an essential service. As a Field Service Technician, the work is steady.
Cons: Career growth here is definitely a challenge. It's tough to move up from a Field Service Technician role unless someone retires or leaves. There aren't many clear paths for advancement, even with years of preventative maintenance experience. The big corporate structure makes internal transfers feel really slow.
Advice to Management: Invest more in developing clearer career paths for field service employees. It would really help with retention if people could see a future beyond their current role.
