Pros: As a Manufacturing Engineer at this global company, I did get solid training upfront. They invest in the fundamental skills needed for working with specialty glass products. You'll learn the core processes well.
Cons: Real upward career growth feels pretty slow, though. There aren't many opportunities to move up the ladder in the Louisville, KY plant unless someone retires. Most roles are pretty onsite, which limits exposure to other departments or broader projects.
Advice to Management: Management should create clearer career paths for engineers. Think about more cross-functional project opportunities, even within the onsite model, to give people new experiences.
