Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to oversee the day-to-day bookkeeping operations for a multi-location restaurant group. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and preparing timely monthly financial reports that support business decision-making.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Central Time (1-hour unpaid lunch)
Client Time Zone: Central Time (CT)
Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping activities for multiple restaurant locations.
- Process and categorize financial transactions accurately in QuickBooks.
- Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
- Complete monthly financial closings within established deadlines.
- Prepare accurate monthly financial reports for management.
- Maintain organized and audit-ready financial records.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial data.
- Collaborate with the management team regarding financial reporting and bookkeeping needs.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
- Experience performing month-end closings and account reconciliations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated remote workspace.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Central Time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous bookkeeping experience within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Experience supporting multi-location businesses.
- Previous experience working remotely with U.S.-based clients.
