Senior Audit Associate

Hybrid work is decent, but has limits
Pros: As a Senior Audit Associate, I appreciate the hybrid model; we get 2-3 days WFH each week. It's really good for managing personal appointments outside of peak times in the audit practice.
Cons: During busy season, all that flexibility pretty much goes out the window. You're expected in the Manila office most days, often late. It's tough to balance things then.
Advice to Management: Try to implement more consistent work flexibility even during busy season. It would greatly help with employee morale and retention, especially for audit roles.

Good place for learning, but work-life balance is a struggle
Pros: You get solid training for public accounting, which is great for career growth as an Audit Associate. The teams in the Manila office are generally pretty supportive and willing to help out when you're stuck on a client engagement.
Cons: The work-life balance here is a real challenge, especially during busy season. Expect really long hours, and it's tough to have a personal life. Sometimes, company culture feels like it prioritizes output over employee well-being.
Advice to Management: Try to implement better workload management tools and practices, especially for Audit Associates during peak seasons. Focusing more on employee well-being could really improve morale and reduce turnover.

Culture is okay, but it gets really tough
Pros: The teams are usually solid; you get to work with some great people as an Audit Associate. There's a decent sense of camaraderie, especially during busy seasons in the public accounting industry. You learn a lot if you're willing to put in the effort.
Cons: Company culture can feel very top-down, not much room for junior staff input. The work-life balance isn't great, and it often feels like you're just pushing paperwork during client engagements. Expect long hours, especially during peak periods in the Manila office.
Advice to Management: Management should really look into workload distribution and empower teams more. A better work-life balance would improve retention significantly for all staff.
