Clarion Events Asia is looking for a professional and personable Marketing (Event Relations) Intern for 10 weeks to be part of our dynamic Hospital Management Asia team for which focuses on the healthcare sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an exceptional Business Events professional to join a highly successful, award-winning, international company that organizes essential B2B events for a range of clients across the world. We work closely with leading industry executives to organise high level events – both in person & digital.
About Hospital Management Asia (HMA)
HMA helps hospital owners, C-level executives, directors, clinicians and healthcare leaders improve outcomes and become increasingly efficient. HMA has an expansive foothold and presence in Asia’s hospital management community. Since 2002, it has strong ties with medical and hospital associations across the region especially in ASEAN as well as Hong Kong and India. They act as advisers to ensure topics discussed and thought leaders showcased are relevant and current to the Asian context.
The Role
If you are looking for an internship in the events/MICE sector, this is the perfect opportunity for you to gain experience in marketing of events, specifically in driving delegate attendance, arranging meetings, doing partnerships, social media activities and providing excellent customer service.
As an intern, we invest in your learning and development as you support the Marketing Manager in:
- To provide sponsors and attendees with a truly great experience pre and during the conference and to provide a fantastic service element to the networking process
- Set up and manage the networking engagements and handle enquiries before and during the event
- To co-ordinate and manage meetings for sponsors and exhibitors
- To support the innovation tour engagements for attendees to maximise their learnings at HMA
- Creating social media posts to drive event engagement
- Scheduling social media posts through a range of channels
- Creating social media packs for award winners, speakers, and sponsors for distribution
- Data building of curated target audiences for marketing promotions
The Intern Should Be
- Able to communicate clearly and with confidence
- Interested in digital marketing, technology, and event marketing
- Interested in social media and familiar with some commonly used platforms
- Have excellent time management skills
- Have a great attitude to learning and be adaptable
- Proficient in Microsoft Powerpoint & Excel and willing to learn other marketing automation tools
It would be desirable to have an interest in creative work and to speak another language, but this is not compulsory and applications are encouraged from people without these skills.
