Your new role
Working as a Property Account Executive within the Property team, your role will be a varied and interesting role providing administrative and technical support to Account Executive's, Account Manager's and the Property Division Manager. This is a varied and interesting role providing technical and administrative support, with responsibility for day-to-day management and development of a portfolio of Property clients, predominantly managing agents and private landlords. You will be responsible for working alongside Account Managers and senior staff dealing with clients from inception to completion, ensuring that cover is arranged correctly to comply with the client's requirements and to disclose all material facts to underwriters when broking. This role will include maintaining clients' policy portfolios including processing renewals, new business and mid-term adjustments, as well as actively seek new business opportunities. This role will also include the preparation of technical documentation.

Your previous experience working as either an Account Handler, Senior Account handler or Account Executive handling Property Owners business either from an Insurance broker or Lloyd's Broker will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have experience in the servicing of clients. You will be confident in being able to deal with clients and your experience of working in a similar role is essential. Your new company

Your new role

In order to be considered for this position, you must have previous experience of EPC surveys and producing reports. Ideally, you will be an accredited domestic energy assessor. You will have knowledge of energy efficiency measures and technologies. Excellent communication skills are vital in this role - you will be liaising with tenants, contractors and the wider team and must produce reports and advice clearly. This role will have you work both independently and as part of a team.

In return, you will be paid a competitive rate of pay and secure a long-term contract of approximately 12 months. You will be paid weekly via Hays and receive mileage for all business travel in addition to your hourly rate.

Assist manager by performing analysis of commercial real estate (CRE) loans offered as collateral, providing loan collateral portfolio surveillance, reporting collateral portfolio stratification and concentration levels, and researching CRE industry-related trends.  Communicates with staff and members by discussing collateral procedures and eligibility requirements.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Specializes in analyzing CRE and multifamily loans.  Works with members to determine what CRE loans can be pledged, and assists members with submitting loan collateral information to the Bank, including new submissions (“adds”) and regular updates to existing collateral data.  Communicates with staff and members by discussing collateral procedures and assisting with the securitization of Bank credit products. 

• Performs detailed front-end analysis of large CRE loans offered as collateral prior to pledge.  Assessments entail a review of members ’ provided analysis reports and other relevant available information.  Present loan features, key facts, and recommendations to management for review. 

• Researches CRE markets and identifies market trends and developments.  Prepares regular reports for Credit Services management and recommends appropriate actions to mitigate risk as market changes warrant. 

• Maintains relevant tools and reports to track collateral trends, estimate impact of product changes, estimate impact of changes in CRE market conditions (i.e. property valuations, credit environment, etc.), and for miscellaneous reports required by various parties including management, FHLBI Board of Directors, regulatory agencies, etc. 

• Assists with CRE loan portfolio exposure surveillance and monitoring at Bank level and at the member level. 

• Performs related duties to monitor CRE collateral such as reviewing appropriate collateral coverage, assisting to determine collateral liquidation values, and assisting with on-site audits of members’ CRE loan collateral. 

• Prepares detailed analysis of members seeking approval to pledge non-traditional collateral for management review. 

• Develops and maintains spreadsheet processes to assist with loan level data gathering, data analysis and collateral scoring (emphasis on CRE loan collateral), which is used to maintain proper collateral coverage and to discover, monitor and manage member-specific collateral risk. 

• Develops and maintains internal procedures for CRE and multifamily loan collateral.  (May also assist with farm real estate loan collateral, small business and small farm loan collateral.) 

• Communicates and interacts effectively with management, peers and supervisors.

• Deals appropriately with the public and with members in particular.

• Work on other ad hoc Credit Services projects and task forces, as needed.

• Communicate as needed with internal auditors, external auditors, and FHFA examiners regarding departmental compliance and member credit and collateral practices.

• Additional duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.  An advanced degree in a business field is desirable. 

• Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience working with or directly in a financial institution, primarily in a commercial lending or loan review function.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with top management of the Bank and our members.

• Highly proficient with computer software such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and other applications to analyze financial data.   

• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.

• Ability to problem-solve effectively.

• Ability to work full time.  Must be willing to travel approximately 10-15% of time worked.

• Must not have been convicted of any civil or criminal charge that would suggest a risk to Bank security.

• Ability to uphold and model the Bank’s Guiding Principles.

Ideally, candidates should be professionally qualified or have at least 5 years of appropriate experience. The post will involve working for a number of clients including major London Landed Estates, large property developers and prime managing agents. The newly-appointed member of staff will wish to develop their career as well as be client-facing and keen to develop new business opportunities. A large proportion of the workload relates to the technical aspects of reviewing / consenting to the Tenant's applications for Licences for Alterations (i.e. the core duties of the role)

• Excellent organisation abilities and administrative aptitude in reviewing compliance with Landlord approval letters, reports and schedules and
