Solid hybrid model for corporate roles
Pros: I appreciate the flexibility of the hybrid model for Revenue Manager roles in the Bangkok office. We get a couple of WFH days a week, which really helps with personal appointments and commuting. It's a nice perk for a corporate environment in the hospitality industry.
Cons: The flexibility can be inconsistent depending on your team or department. Sometimes, if there's a big project or audit, you're expected onsite more, even if it's your WFH day. It's also hard for hotel operations roles; they don't get this kind of flexibility at all.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize the hybrid policy more across different corporate teams to ensure fair application. Also, consider what flexibility could look like for hotel operations roles, even if it's just minor adjustments.

Okay Flexibility, but It's Hospitality, Not Remote
Pros: For a company in hotel management, I've seen decent flexibility for my Hotel Operations Coordinator role. My team's pretty good about approving shift swaps when I need them, which is helpful. It's an onsite job, but they're understanding about personal needs if you give enough notice.
Cons: You can't really expect true work-from-home options for most operational roles, especially at our Bangkok properties. The shift work is intense, and sometimes last-minute changes pop up, which messes with personal plans. It's tough to have a consistent schedule.
Advice to Management: Try to find more ways to offer hybrid work, even a day or two for non-frontline hospitality roles. It could really help with employee retention and overall morale for those of us not directly in guest services.

Okay Culture for Hotel Operations, but tough
Pros: I've seen some good camaraderie among the team here, especially within hotel operations. We work well together to manage guests. It's a large corporate hospitality company, so there are established processes, which is nice.
Cons: Sometimes the company culture feels a bit top-down; it's hard to get new ideas heard. There's also a big focus on cost-cutting which can impact employee morale, especially for those working long hours in Bangkok's busy hotel scene. Work-life balance for managers can be tricky.
Advice to Management: Try to empower managers more. Listen to feedback from the ground up to improve employee morale and avoid burnout.
