Pros: The benefits package is solid, and there's good job security working for a big corporate bank. You definitely learn a lot about financial services as a Financial Analyst here. Plus, the hybrid work model in the Singapore office is a real perk.
Cons: The company culture can feel a bit old-school sometimes, very hierarchical. It's not always easy to get your voice heard, especially for junior staff. There are also times when work-life balance isn't the best due to long hours in some teams.
Advice to Management: Try to empower junior staff more. Breaking down some of those traditional hierarchies could really foster better innovation and make new ideas heard across the banking teams.

Pros: I appreciate the hybrid work arrangement, especially for an Associate Director role. Being able to work from home a couple of days a week in the Singapore office really helps with errands and personal appointments. There's decent flexibility when you need it for personal stuff, like doctor's appointments. That's a huge plus for maintaining some sanity.
Cons: The work-life balance here can be tough, especially in corporate banking. Expect many 10-12 hour days, and sometimes even longer, which impacts personal time. It's hard to truly disconnect even on WFH days. The culture often expects you to be available well into the evening, which is common in a large corporate bank but still draining.
Advice to Management: Focus on promoting a culture where it's okay for employees, especially in financial services, to truly disconnect after their standard hours. Encourage managers to lead by example and set realistic expectations for workload.

Pros: The bank does offer a pretty solid hybrid model. I got two WFH days a week, which really helps with the commute in Singapore. It's a good step for a large financial services company.
Cons: True flexibility feels limited sometimes, especially as a Relationship Manager. Client meetings often dictate when you have to be in the Singapore office, even on a scheduled WFH day. It's not always genuinely flexible.
Advice to Management: Management should empower teams more to truly embrace the hybrid model. Stop having strict in-office mandates that undermine its purpose. Trust your employees to manage their work.
