Fast-paced, but work-life balance can suffer
Pros: You learn a ton super fast working in the fintech and buy now pay later space. The teams are generally smart, and there's a good buzz in the Singapore office. It's definitely a place to accelerate your career if you can handle the intensity.
Cons: The work-life balance here is a real struggle, especially as a Software Engineer. Expect frequent late nights and weekend work to meet aggressive product launch deadlines. The pressure to deliver for payment processing initiatives is high, making it hard to disconnect.
Advice to Management: Management needs to seriously address the long working hours, especially for engineering teams. Better project planning and realistic deadlines would help prevent burnout and improve retention in this competitive fintech market.

Fintech Pace, Decent Perks, But WLB Can Be Tough
Pros: The Singapore office is pretty modern. You do get a good health package which helps. For some fintech roles, the learning curve is steep, which is good for skills.
Cons: Work-life balance as a Software Engineer here is often a struggle. Expect longer hours, especially around project deadlines. It's not always a 9-to-5, even with hybrid work options.
Advice to Management: Try to enforce stricter boundaries on project scopes and deadlines. Encourage teams to take their actual leave and discourage after-hours emails to improve overall work-life balance.

Leadership's a mixed bag at Atome
Pros: I learned a ton working on the tech stack, which is solid for a growing fintech company. As a Software Engineer, you get to tackle interesting problems and collaborate across teams in the Singapore office.
Cons: Leadership often feels pretty disconnected from what we do daily. It's tough to get clear strategic direction sometimes, and there's definitely some micromanagement going on for engineering roles.
Advice to Management: Focus on empowering your teams more and provide clearer vision. Cut down on micromanagement, especially in technical departments.

Leadership needs a clearer long-term vision
Pros: You get to work on cool tech and learn a lot, especially for backend development roles. The team culture is pretty solid, and everyone is generally supportive. It's a good place to gain experience in a high-growth fintech startup.
Cons: Leadership sometimes lacks a clear strategic direction, which can be frustrating. Decisions change quickly, making it hard for engineering teams to plan. There's not always enough transparency from upper management.
Advice to Management: Try to communicate strategic goals more clearly and stick to them for longer. More transparency about company direction would really help.
