Okay Flexibility, But It's a Grind
Pros: I liked the hybrid work model; two days WFH was nice for getting focused work done without the commute. It helps with balancing personal appointments, which is a big plus for a mid-sized firm like this. You do get exposure to some cool interior design projects too.
Cons: The 'flexibility' often means staying late to meet client deadlines, especially for senior design roles. Sometimes, you're expected in the Los Angeles office even if your work could be remote. It feels more like 'work anytime' than 'work anyplace' sometimes.
Advice to Management: Management should really clarify expectations around 'flexibility.' It'd be great if WFH days were consistently respected, especially when we're deep into interior design project documentation or material sourcing, not just for quiet tasks. Give design associates more autonomy.

Job Security Can Be Touch-and-Go Here
Pros: When there are a lot of projects, especially big commercial interior design gigs in Los Angeles, CA, things feel pretty solid. There's a good team environment and we do get paid on time, which is a plus.
Cons: Job security is a real concern if project flow slows down. They're quick to scale back staff, even good people. It's tough as an onsite employee to constantly worry about the next project.
Advice to Management: Try to build a more consistent project pipeline to provide better job security for your dedicated staff. Communication about potential downturns could also be clearer.
