Decent Flexibility for Product Roles
Pros: You get genuine flexibility here, especially as a Product Manager. We usually get 2-3 WFH days in the Charlotte, NC office, which is great for productivity. It's a huge plus in the consumer goods industry for balancing home life.
Cons: Sometimes the hybrid model isn't consistently applied across all teams. Some managers prefer more in-office time, making the work flexibility uneven. Also, getting approvals for fully remote work outside the hybrid setup can be a real struggle.
Advice to Management: Standardize the hybrid policy across all departments and empower managers to fully support work flexibility. It would really help retain talent in the home appliance industry and improve overall morale.

Hybrid Model Still Needs Work at Electrolux
Pros: There's a push for a hybrid model, which is a start for a large global company like Electrolux. For some project-based roles, you can get a couple of days remote. It's better than being fully onsite five days a week in the Charlotte, NC office.
Cons: Work flexibility here is pretty tough for most. Even with the hybrid push, many teams still expect you onsite most days. It feels like the appliance manufacturing industry is a bit slow to adapt, and fully remote or flexible hours are rarely an option for many functions, even when the work could easily be done from home.
Advice to Management: Really commit to the hybrid model or offer more flexible work arrangements. Other corporate environments in consumer durables are doing it better. Trust your employees more with their time.

Solid stability, but slow on change
Pros: The work-life balance is pretty decent, I usually worked around 40 hours a week. There's a good sense of community, particularly in the Charlotte office, which makes day-to-day enjoyable. It's a big, global company, so the job security feels solid.
Cons: The company culture feels really old-school and change moves at a snail's pace, which is tough for Senior Product Manager roles trying to push new ideas. It can be frustrating when you're looking to innovate in consumer electronics. Don't expect things to happen fast.
Advice to Management: Management really needs to listen more to their product teams and embrace new ideas. Speed up the decision-making process to stay competitive in the market.

Culture is Fine, Just a Bit Slow
Pros: I've met some really good folks here, especially within my team. As a **Project Manager**, I appreciate the focus on quality products. There's a decent hybrid setup if you're in the **Charlotte, NC** office.
Cons: The **corporate environment** can feel pretty traditional, which makes new ideas tough to push through. It's not the fastest-paced place, and innovation isn't always celebrated enough. Sometimes it's hard to feel a strong sense of company-wide purpose.
Advice to Management: Try to encourage more modern thinking and empower teams to make decisions faster. It would help a lot with fostering innovation and improving overall company culture.

Decent Benefits, Pay Growth is Slow
Pros: The health insurance is pretty solid here, which is a big plus for a big corporate company. I also liked the 401k match; it's a good perk in the Charlotte, NC office.
Cons: Salary growth is really slow as a Marketing Specialist. Don't expect huge raises; it's just not competitive with other companies in the consumer goods sector.
Advice to Management: Management really needs to look at market rates for salaries, especially for specialists. It's tough to retain good talent when compensation isn't competitive.

Okay Start, Growth is a Climb
Pros: You learn a ton about the home appliance industry from day one. There's a decent hybrid work model which is nice for work-life balance. My team was generally supportive and friendly.
Cons: Career progression can feel stagnant, especially for junior product manager positions. It's tough to see a clear path for internal promotions or new opportunities without a lot of self-advocacy. Sometimes you feel a bit stuck in your current role.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating clearer, more accessible career paths for early-career professionals. More mentorship programs and defined internal promotion opportunities would really help with retention.

Hybrid Model is Okay, But Not Truly Flexible
Pros: You get a couple of remote days a week with the hybrid model, which is nice for avoiding the Charlotte traffic. The benefits package is solid, and there's decent job security in the consumer appliances industry.
Cons: True work flexibility is pretty limited though. Even with hybrid, you're expected in the office on strict days, so you can't really shift things around if something comes up. It feels more like mandated onsite days with some WFH sprinkled in, not genuine flexibility.
Advice to Management: Try to offer more genuine flexibility and trust employees more with their schedules, especially for roles that don't absolutely require daily onsite presence.

Leadership needs to listen more, honestly
Pros: As a Product Development Engineer here, I do get to work on some cool stuff in the appliance manufacturing industry. My immediate team in the Charlotte, NC office is solid and supportive, which makes the day-to-day pretty decent. There's a lot of knowledge to gain here.
Cons: Leadership, though, often feels disconnected from the ground level. You see top-down decisions that just don't make sense for our onsite engineering work. It's frustrating when big strategic shifts happen without much input from the folks actually building the products.
Advice to Management: Try to get more input from engineering teams before making big strategic changes. Regular town halls aren't enough; real feedback channels are needed to understand the impact on day-to-day operations.

Pay is Decent, but Benefits are Just Okay
Pros: As a Product Manager, my base salary was pretty standard for a corporate role in the consumer appliance industry. The 401k match is decent, and it's a stable company to work for. It's solid if you're looking for a steady gig at a big company.
Cons: The health insurance plans can be really expensive, with high deductibles that eat into your take-home pay. It's tough, especially if you have a family. I've seen better packages at other similar-sized companies, even for those working onsite in the Charlotte office.
Advice to Management: Re-evaluate the employee benefits package, especially healthcare costs. Making salaries more competitive across the board would also help attract and retain talent.

Stable job at a big appliance company
Pros: It's a stable job. Work-life balance is decent for a big consumer appliances company. Some product management teams really try to collaborate, which is good.
Cons: The company culture is pretty slow. You feel the corporate bureaucracy a lot, especially in the Charlotte office. Decision-making can be a real grind, which is frustrating.
Advice to Management: Focus on speeding up decision-making. Empower middle management more. Improve recognition for individual contributions to foster better morale and innovation.
