Job security feels a bit shaky sometimes
Pros: It's an EdTech startup, so you learn a lot really fast. For remote Software Engineer roles, the projects are interesting and you get to build cool educational technology tools from scratch. The work itself is engaging.
Cons: Job security isn't its strongest suit; there's always talk about funding or restructuring. It feels like headcount changes are always around the corner for us on the small team, making it tough to plan long-term. You can feel the pressure.
Advice to Management: Try to be more transparent about the company's financial health and future plans to help ease employee concerns about job security. Regular updates would really help people feel more secure.

Decent Remote Flexibility, Some Room to Grow
Pros: Working for this EdTech startup means I've had good remote work options. As a Software Engineer, I can usually set my own schedule outside of core meeting times. It's nice to manage my day from Jakarta.
Cons: Sometimes the 'flexibility' feels a bit limited by back-to-back meetings. It's hard to find focus time when daily stand-ups and syncs take up so much of the morning. There's not much room to shift critical project deadlines if personal stuff comes up.
Advice to Management: Try to optimize meeting schedules. Fewer mandatory syncs could really boost productivity and perceived flexibility for the engineering team.
