Solid place for engineers, but career path unclear
Pros: The work as a Software Engineer is often interesting, especially if you're into PLM software or CAD development. The team I worked with in the Plano, TX office was super collaborative and smart. It's a pretty stable, big tech company with decent job security.
Cons: Career growth is pretty slow here; it's hard to see a clear path for advancement beyond a certain level. Promotions for senior engineering roles can feel like they take forever, and there's not much guidance on how to get there. Sometimes the corporate structure feels a bit rigid.

Decent place, but some old-school vibes
Pros: I found pretty solid job security as a Software Engineer here. The benefits were decent, and working on industrial software like our CAD/CAM solutions was challenging. My team in the Plano, TX office was mostly collaborative.

Pretty Stable, But Reorgs Happen Often
Pros: The company is huge, so there's a lot of overall stability. You don't worry about the company vanishing. My role as a Software Engineer in PLM software felt pretty core and safe.
Cons: Job security takes a hit with all the reorgs. They happen too often. It makes you wonder where your team will land next. Some development teams definitely felt the ripple effects in the Plano office.
Advice to Management: Work on making those reorganizations less disruptive. The constant changes really mess with team morale and people's sense of security. Transparency helps a lot.

Culture Varies, Good for Stability

Solid Benefits, Pay is Just Okay
