Pros: The remote work option is solid. As an IT Consultant, I got to work on some interesting IT projects. You can learn a lot in the managed services space if you're proactive.
Cons: The senior leadership team can feel really disconnected from daily operations. It's tough as an IT Consultant to get clear direction sometimes. Decisions often come down without much explanation, which impacts project scope and team morale.
Advice to Management: Try to connect more with project teams, especially remote staff. Give us clearer roadmaps and explain big decisions better. It would boost morale and help us deliver for clients. Focus on better communication to improve overall leadership effectiveness.

Pros: As an IT Consultant, the base salary was pretty decent for the IT services industry. They pay on time, which is always good. The 401k match is there, even if it's not the best.
Cons: Health insurance premiums felt really high, making the overall take-home less attractive. The PTO policy isn't very generous for a large IT firm. Don't expect big annual raises unless you switch projects often.
Advice to Management: Review the health insurance plans and consider offering better PTO accrual, especially for long-term employees. It would really help with retention.

Pros: The best thing was getting to work fully remote from Dallas, TX. This was a huge plus for my commute and personal life. For some IT consulting projects, I had pretty good autonomy over my daily schedule, which was nice.
Cons: However, the 'flexible hours' advertised weren't always a reality across all projects. Sometimes project leads demanded strict 9-5 availability, regardless of the work done. This made managing personal appointments tough for an IT consultant like me.
Advice to Management: Management needs to standardize work flexibility policies across all clients and projects. Don't promise flexible hours if teams can't actually deliver on that for their IT consulting staff. Empower project managers to genuinely support remote workers.
