Pros: As a Recruiting Consultant, I appreciate the hybrid work option; it's 3 days in the Chicago office, 2 WFH. This flexibility helps a lot, and for the staffing industry, the core hours are pretty standard. The team is generally supportive, too.
Cons: When we hit busy periods or client deadlines, it's hard to maintain that work-life balance. I've definitely put in some 50+ hour weeks. The pressure to hit targets can make it tough to switch off.
Advice to Management: Try to manage client expectations better so consultants aren't constantly overwhelmed. Maybe look into better workload distribution during peak times.

Pros: The training program for new recruiting consultants is pretty good, especially in the Chicago office. Some of the immediate managers really go out of their way to support their teams. It's a decent place to learn the ropes of the talent acquisition space.
Cons: Leadership consistency is a real issue across different branches and divisions. Senior management often seems disconnected from the day-to-day challenges we face. Career pathing isn't always clear for those of us on the ground, especially for account managers.
