Pros: They offer a pretty solid hybrid work arrangement, which is great for flexibility. For a mid-sized consulting firm, the London office team is supportive. Most weeks are a manageable 45-50 hours, which is decent for the industry.
Cons: But, client deliverables and tight project deadlines mean some crazy weeks. As a Junior Consultant, I've had plenty of 60+ hour weeks, making it tough to have a life outside work. It really kills any work-life balance.
Advice to Management: Try to smooth out client project deadlines a bit more. The huge crunch times are draining and make it hard for employees to plan their lives. More predictable workloads would improve retention.

Pros: The base salary for Junior Consultant roles is actually pretty decent, especially for the management consulting industry. I started at around
Pound 35k plus a small annual bonus, which isn't bad for my first role. The pension match they offer is also solid.
Cons: However, the health benefits package feels pretty standard, almost basic. There isn't much in terms of unique perks or strong parental leave at the London office. It's just not competitive compared to other consulting firms.
Advice to Management: Consider improving the non-salary benefits package, especially health and unique perks, to be more competitive for new talent. It would really help with employee retention.

Pros: They do offer a hybrid model, so you get a couple of WFH days a week which is nice. It helps cut down on the commute into the London office, especially for personal appointments.
Cons: True flexibility is pretty limited though. Client deadlines for consulting projects often mean you're expected to be available, even if it's a 'WFH day.' It's hard to genuinely switch off.
Advice to Management: Try to enforce the hybrid model more consistently and manage client expectations better so consultants can actually use their flexible days.
