Decent perks, but work-life balance can be a struggle
Pros: I really liked the team; everyone in the Sydney office is pretty supportive. They offer decent hybrid work options, which helps with the commute. The commission structure for a Senior Recruitment Consultant is pretty competitive too.
Cons: The work-life balance can be challenging, especially during peak times with client calls and candidate sourcing. It's often expected to be available outside standard hours. I felt constant pressure to hit targets, which made it hard to disconnect.
Advice to Management: Try to reinforce boundaries around working hours more consistently. Encourage managers to lead by example in promoting a healthier work-life balance for all recruitment roles.

Decent Place, But Work-Life Can Be Tricky
Pros: I liked the team in the Sydney office; everyone's pretty supportive. There's good flexibility with hybrid work, so I wasn't always stuck commuting. The commission structure is decent if you hit your numbers.
Cons: Work-life balance can be tough as a Recruitment Consultant. You're constantly chasing client demands and candidate calls, which often spills into evenings. It's the nature of the recruitment industry, but it can be draining.
Advice to Management: Recognize the demanding hours for agency roles and consider more structured quiet periods or mental health days to prevent burnout for your consultants.

Solid pay for recruitment but benefits are just okay
Pros: As a Recruitment Consultant here, the base salary is competitive, especially for the Sydney office. The commission structure is also pretty transparent and achievable, which is a big plus in the recruitment industry. It's a solid compensation package overall.
Cons: The benefits package isn't great though. Health insurance isn't as comprehensive as you'd find at a bigger corporate, and there aren't many unique perks. For a mid-sized recruitment firm, I expected a bit more in terms of employee benefits.
Advice to Management: Consider investing more in employee benefits beyond just salary. Better health plans or unique perks could really help with retention and attract more talent.
