Hybrid is fine, but project dependent for consulting
Pros: I liked the option to work hybrid, usually 2-3 days in the office. It's good for some tasks and team meetings. For consulting roles, it beats being fully onsite all the time.
Cons: Work flexibility really varies here. Some projects mean late nights and working weekends, so WFH doesn't always mean better work-life balance. As an Associate Consultant, you often have less say in your schedule, especially during busy seasons in the Singapore office.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize flexibility across projects and teams. Managers need clearer guidelines on WFH expectations to avoid burnout, especially for junior staff in professional services.

Good Launchpad for Consulting, but Be Ready to Hustle
Pros: As an Associate Consultant here, you get to work on so many different projects, which is awesome for career growth. The exposure to various industries within professional services is really valuable, especially early in your career. You definitely learn a ton from the senior managers in the Singapore office.
Cons: But honestly, the pace is just intense. You're constantly chasing deadlines, and sometimes it feels like promotion cycles are a bit slow for the effort you put in. Work-life balance can really take a hit, making sustained career growth tough without burning out.
Advice to Management: Try to better manage client expectations so teams aren't constantly pushed to their limits. More focus on sustainable career paths and valuing employee well-being would go a long way in retaining talent.

Solid start for a consulting career
Pros: Job security is pretty solid here, especially for entry-level consulting roles. As an Associate Consultant, I felt pretty secure even during uncertain times. They don't just lay people off easily at this Big Four accounting firm in Singapore.
Cons: The workload can get super intense, sometimes feeling like there's no end in sight. Work-life balance suffers a lot when client deadlines hit hard. Sometimes the pay doesn't quite match the sheer number of hours you put in.
Advice to Management: Try to manage client expectations better so teams aren't always firefighting. Also, seriously revisit compensation for junior staff who consistently put in significant extra hours.
