Decent flexibility, but depends on your team
Pros: As a Software Engineer, I've had a solid hybrid setup, usually in the Austin office two days a week. It's nice to have remote options when life happens, which is a big plus for technical roles. They generally support working from home for software development work.
Cons: Some teams, especially non-technical ones, don't get the same flexibility. My manager sometimes pushed for more in-office days than company policy, which felt inconsistent. It's not fully remote if that's what you're hoping for.
Advice to Management: Encourage consistent flexibility across all departments, not just technical ones. Support managers better in implementing WFH policies fairly for everyone.

Decent Pay, Benefits Need Work
Pros: The base salary is pretty competitive for a Software Engineer in the San Francisco tech industry. My compensation felt fair given the market rates for a mid-sized company.
Cons: Honestly, the health insurance options aren't great; they're expensive for what you get. Our 401k match is pretty standard and not very generous, and there aren't many unique perks for employees on the hybrid model.
Advice to Management: Invest more into better health insurance plans and a more competitive 401k match. These are key for retaining talent, especially in this competitive tech industry.

Decent Stability But Project Roles Can Fluctuate
Pros: The core business in corporate services is solid, which is reassuring. You get good benefits, making you feel secure. It's definitely not a volatile startup environment, which I appreciated.
Cons: When big projects wrap up, finding the next one can be stressful. This is especially true for us in project-specific roles. It makes you worry about future job security sometimes. We aren't a big tech giant with endless budgets, so resources are tighter.
Advice to Management: Try to smooth out the transitions between projects for project-based roles. Better pipeline visibility or internal redeployment plans would really help team morale and reduce anxiety.
