ABOUT ARITZIA
Aritzia is a design house with an innovative global platform. We are creators and purveyors of Everyday Luxury®, home to an extensive portfolio of exclusive brands for every function and individual aesthetic. We’re about good design, quality materials and timeless style — all with the wellbeing of our People and Planet in mind.

Founded in 1984 in Vancouver, Canada, we pride ourselves on creating immersive, highly personalized shopping experiences at aritzia.com and in our 140+ boutiques throughout North America — for everyone, everywhere.

OUR APPROACH
Aritzia means style, not trend, and quality over everything. We treat each in-house label as its own atelier, united by premium fabrics, meticulous construction and an of-the-moment point of view. We handpick fabrics from the world’s best mills for their feel, function and ability to last. We obsess over proportion, fit and that just-right silhouette. From hand-painted prints to the art of pocket placement, our innovative design studio considers and reconsiders each detail to create essentials you’ll reach for again, and again, and again. If it isn’t just right, it isn’t Aritzia.

OUR WORKPLACE RECOGNITION
We’re honoured to be recognized by Forbes as one of Canada’s Best Employers for four consecutive years, 2023–2026. The current ranking is based on surveys of more than 37,000 Canada-based employees conducted in partnership with Statista, reflecting the experiences and perspectives of teams across the country.

We’re committed to making your experience positive and transparent. Please note, our recruiters will only contact you using an @aritzia.com email address. If you receive recruitment-related messages from other domains, please disregard them.

Good Brand Experience, Pay Could Be Better
Pros: Working at Aritzia in Vancouver is a fantastic way to learn about fashion retail, styling, and the company's unique brand identity. The team environment is usually supportive, and you gain a lot of product knowledge. It's a fast-paced role where you're always on your feet, interacting with clients.
Cons: While the experience is valuable, the hourly wage and benefits package, particularly for entry-level roles like Sales Associate, feel a bit low considering the cost of living in Vancouver and the physical demands. Pay progression isn't always clear or immediate, which can be demotivating over time.
Advice to Management: Consider reviewing entry-level compensation and benefits to better reflect the cost of living and the hard work put in by associates.

Great place to kickstart a career in fashion retail
Pros: Working at Aritzia as a Style Advisor has provided excellent career growth within the fashion retail industry. The leadership in Tysons Corner is supportive, offering great training and mentorship to develop sales and product knowledge. Strong teamwork among retail associates creates a positive work environment and genuine learning opportunities.
Cons: While career progression is present, it can feel a bit competitive and sometimes slow for internal promotions in this fast-paced fashion retailer. Workload during peak seasons, such as holidays, is demanding and can temporarily impact work-life balance. Streamlining communication about company-wide initiatives could also improve operations.
Advice to Management: Further invest in clear career pathing and development for retail staff. Improve communication between corporate and store teams. Regular recognition for hardworking Style Advisors is also essential for morale.

Great Place for Digital Product Design
Pros: I really appreciate the emphasis on collaboration within the digital product design team. There's a lot of opportunity to learn from talented people, which has been great for my career growth in the retail fashion industry. The work environment here in New York is vibrant and stimulating, fostering creative problem-solving on our eCommerce platform. We work on cutting-edge digital experiences. The work flexibility is a standout, allowing for a good blend of in-office collaboration and remote
Cons: Sometimes, during peak retail seasons or major product launches, the workload can be pretty intense, leading to longer hours. While leadership is generally supportive, communication between different digital teams could be more streamlined to avoid overlaps or delays in the design process. Refining the approval process for new features could also boost efficiency.
Advice to Management: Continue investing in cross-team communication tools and processes to enhance collaboration and reduce project bottlenecks, especially during busy periods in the retail fashion cycle.
