Pros: The hybrid model is actually pretty good, letting me work remote 3 days a week. For data management roles, it's nice to have that flexibility. We have flexible start times which helps avoid the worst of the Austin commute.
Cons: Sometimes the 'flexible' part feels like it applies more to some teams than others. If you're onsite for collaboration days, traffic in Austin can be rough. It's not full WFH, so you do need to plan for office days.
Advice to Management: Keep pushing for consistent flexibility across all teams, not just a select few. Also, maybe look into some more commute solutions or incentives for those required in the Austin office.
