Pros: It's great being able to work remote from home; that's a huge plus. For a Software Engineer, the day-to-day schedule can be pretty flexible, especially if you get your tasks done. This remote work setup is solid for life balance.
Cons: Sometimes, in our IT consulting projects, the client demands can make flexibility tough. You often feel pressured during agile sprints to be available constantly, which kind of defeats the point of flexibility. It's not always easy to truly disconnect.
Advice to Management: Try to shield the software development teams more from constant client demands during critical project phases. Better boundaries would really help with work-life balance.
