Okay for growth, but you gotta push for it
Pros: There are some opportunities for career growth, especially for new Software Engineer hires. They have a decent mentorship program, which really helped me as an entry-level developer in this mid-sized tech company. You can get involved in different projects if you speak up.
Cons: Career progression can feel slow after your initial ramp-up. It's not always clear how to get to the next level for senior engineering roles. Development opportunities aren't consistent, some teams get more resources than others. Remote employees sometimes feel overlooked for bigger internal opportunities, even if working from the Seattle area.
Advice to Management: Create clearer promotion paths for all engineering roles, especially beyond mid-level. Ensure development resources are allocated fairly across all teams and for remote staff.

Startup energy, but watch the clock
Pros: People are super nice here, honestly. As an Associate Product Manager, I've learned a ton from my peers in this fast-paced startup environment. It's a pretty collaborative place when things are running smoothly.
Cons: Work-life balance isn't great; long hours are pretty standard, especially for folks working onsite in Hanoi. Sometimes the company culture feels a bit disorganized with communication, which can be tough to navigate.
Advice to Management: Try to set clearer expectations for work hours and improve internal communication channels. A more organized approach to project management would also help reduce employee stress and burnout.

Remote work is great, but connection suffers a bit
Pros: As a Software Engineer at Sun* Inc., I've really appreciated the remote work policy. It's a solid benefit, especially if you're looking for flexible hours. Being able to work from home gives you a lot of personal freedom.
Cons: The downside to fully remote is it's tough to build strong team connections. Sometimes real-time coding collaboration gets tricky. It can feel a bit isolating in the tech industry without an office presence.
Advice to Management: Consider implementing optional quarterly in-person team events to boost team cohesion for remote employees. Also, explore better tools for real-time collaborative coding sessions.
