Leadership's okay, but a bit inconsistent
Pros: I liked working with my immediate team on developing new data integration features. We had decent autonomy as a Software Developer in the Mobile, AL office, which was great. The company offers a pretty stable environment for a mid-sized company.
Cons: Upper leadership can be a bit detached from daily project realities. It's tough when priorities shift constantly without much explanation, especially for ongoing healthcare IT projects. There's not always clear career growth path guidance.
Advice to Management: Try to communicate strategic decisions more clearly to the engineering teams. It'd really help to define career paths better for folks like Software Developers.

Good team, but company culture needs a refresh
Pros: The engineering team itself is really collaborative. We support each other well on projects related to healthcare IT solutions. There's a decent sense of camaraderie among peers in the Clearwater, FL office.
Cons: Upper management can feel pretty disconnected from the daily work. It's tough to get new ideas approved, and there's a strong 'that's how we've always done it' vibe. The overall company culture feels a bit stagnant.
Advice to Management: Listen more to the engineering teams on the ground. Encourage innovation and new methodologies, especially for our core healthcare IT solutions. Modernizing the company culture would attract and retain more talent.

Flexibility is Okay, But It Varies A Lot
Pros: It's nice that some teams, especially for data management solutions, actually have hybrid work options. I got to do a couple WFH days from the Mobile, AL office, which was a huge plus. It makes the daily grind a bit easier.
Cons: However, work flexibility isn't consistent across the board. Many roles, particularly in medical billing operations, are strictly onsite. It feels like managers have too much individual power over remote options for IT roles, which creates inequality.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize hybrid work policies across all teams. It's frustrating when flexibility depends solely on your direct manager, especially for Data Analyst roles. A company-wide remote policy would help retention.
