ACMobility (formerly known as AC Motors) is the mobility solutions arm of the Ayala Group of Companies and is among the most diverse automotive groups in the Philippines. The company currently serves as the distributor of Kia and BYD passenger cars in the Philippines, and also operates the largest dealer network for Honda and Isuzu in the country. In addition to automotive retail and distribution, ACMobility is the master franchisor of Bosch Car Service (BCS), an automotive workshop network that offers “one-stop-shop services”, covering mechanical repairs to intricate electronics, engine systems, safety features, comfort upgrades, transmission expertise, and a host of other services and diagnostics.

WLB is a mixed bag for engineers here
Pros: You get a decent amount of autonomy as a software engineer on your projects in the San Francisco office. It's an exciting mobility tech startup, so the work is interesting, and there's a good team vibe. We also have a solid hybrid work model which helps.
Cons: The workload can get really heavy, especially when product launches are nearing. It's not uncommon for engineers to put in 50+ hour weeks. Sometimes leadership doesn't push back enough on aggressive deadlines, which creates stress.
Advice to Management: Management needs to prioritize realistic project timelines more often. Protecting teams from burnout will improve morale and long-term productivity for this growing mobility tech company.

Decent for Learning, But Growth Stalls Out
Pros: I've learned a ton about software development here, especially for junior technical roles in the transportation tech space. The team is pretty solid, and you get to work on real EV infrastructure projects. It's a good spot to build foundational skills.
Cons: Upward mobility is tough past a certain point, particularly as a Software Engineer in the San Francisco office. There aren't many clear paths for promotion to senior roles. I don't see much investment in long-term career development or advanced training.
Advice to Management: Please make the promotion criteria more transparent for technical roles. Invest in programs to help employees grow into senior positions; it feels like we hit a ceiling too soon. Clarify what's needed to advance.

Cons: Career path isn't very clear at ACMobility. In the San Francisco office, internal promotion opportunities for senior roles are rare.
Advice to Management: Management should invest more in employee development and create clearer paths for advancement for engineers. Open up more senior positions internally.
