Pros: As an IoT Solutions Engineer, you get to work on cool tech, which is a big plus. They offer some flexibility with hybrid work options for the Manila office, which helps on certain days. The team is pretty collaborative, and that makes project sprints a bit less stressful.
Cons: Work-life balance often feels off, especially during crunch times for client deployments. You're expected to be available quite a bit, and 40-hour weeks are more of a suggestion in this startup environment. Sometimes there's pressure to take on extra tasks, even when you're already swamped.
Advice to Management: Focus on setting clearer boundaries for employee hours. Maybe implement a better project management system to avoid last-minute rushes for the engineering teams.
