Are you a proactive and skilled Test Engineer? MaPS (Money and Pensions Service) is seeking an experienced professional to join their dynamic Product Team on an urgent 18-month fixed-term contract. As a Test Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing QA (quality assurance) capabilities aligned with our broader QA Strategy. You must be able to create scripts from scratch using relevant languages and tools, specifically Cypress and Python.

Our Test Engineer must be a self-starter and work as the go-to person within the Agile team, this is where you may need to write scripts from scratch using languages and tools that correspond with the wider organisation.

Responsibilities:

As the Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:

• Represent QA within a Scrum or Project Team
  • Embed within a team and ensure QA considerations are held
  • Work with other team members to capture and evaluate requirements
  • Support Sprint Goals

Essential:

• Experience with automation test tools, preferably Selenium, LoadRunner, TestComplete or UFT

• Collaborate with the PSU design team to commission, implement, debug, and continuously improve electrical test fixtures, processes, and procedures in XP Power’s Asia manufacturing facilities to efficiently and repeatably produce high quality PSU products

• Develop and deliver an Automation Test Strategy for the project.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Engineer in doing EMI testing indoors and on sometimes outdoors.
• Use test equipment; training will be provided.
• Assist Facility Manager with equipment and facility management and maintenance.
• Assist Engineer in locating components/parts.
• Create basic test plans and reports.

Requirements:

• Min Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
• With 1+ year relevant working experience
• Can work independently and able to resolve problems.
