The Strategic Sourcing Manager is a brand-new role for Haven, providing support and leadership across the business and key spend areas in Haven. This is a hands-on role for an experienced Procurement professional, leveraging both your technical skills and your stakeholder management and engagement skills.

The Strategic Sourcing Manager will develop and drive strategic sourcing strategies, in line with business strategies in order to deliver maximum value from spend while driving service, innovation and quality. You will focus on property and MRO strategic sourcing, so experience in a similar industry would be highly advantageous.

Your Opportunity:
To learn, develop and become an expert in a key area of the business by:
- Working collaboratively with Budget holders across the business to identify opportunities to drive additional value
- Working with stakeholders to determine the business need / specification and develop appropriate sourcing strategies to maximise value
- Developing and owning Haven’s Strategic sourcing plans and working with stakeholders to build an ongoing program of sourcing work across the business
- Manageing the sourcing and contract process – including RFP, Tender, Negotiations, Contracting
- Supporting the Head of Procurement Operations in ensuring commercial excellence is reflected in the Procurement “platform” across Haven.

• Lead and manage a team of Sourcing and Procurement members

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management / Engineering background
• 8+ Years experience in a Strategic Sourcing in Direct and / or Indirect procurement business environment, knowledge in DCS and other Engineering industry Sourcing and Procurement
• Sound knowledge in understanding and negotiating Terms and Conditions of Purchase with Suppliers
• Deliverable-focused, self-motivated with an Analytical mindset with proficiency in data to excel in a multi-stakeholder environment

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Bid Sourcing & Contracts Specialist to work at our Doncaster site.




Main Purpose of the Role

Manage and facilitate bid cost requirements against products / services within Traction & Rolling stock, Infrastructure,
Consumables & Fasteners and New Business Products / Services.

The role will be responsible for vendor selection, vendor management and pricing of bids, including liaising with other key
stakeholders such as the Bid Management Team, New Products Team, Forecasting, MRP Controllers, Engineering, Finance and Legal
etc.

Co-ordinating Unipart’s interface with suppliers to ensure products and services purchased, lead to improving value and service to
the Unipart Rail business and its customers.

Our aim is to maximize business opportunities and grow turnover by satisfying and exceeding our customers expectations. Timely bid
responses and accurate data are essential to achieving this.

To support the New Business and existing Indirects process in drafting and negotiating key principles and distribution agreements,
through to contract award.

Qualifications & Education

Knowledge and qualification in a vocational or specialized field short of a degree – e.g. HND.

Degree or CIPS qualification (Level 3) essential and prepared to work towards MCIPS (desirable)

Project Management desirable or similar

Procurement / Bid exposure

Advanced or higher level in Excel or Access

Experience in commercial contract negotiations



Experience & Proven Ability Required

Skills and aptitudes are required such as will provide an understanding of principles and practices that contribute significantly
to the work of the department.

Experience of working in a Bid Oriented / Procurement Environment (Rail Sector) desirable.

Household name government entity are se4eking an experienced strategic sourcing specialist to join their team. Your new company Our client are a household-name Victorian Government entity who provide a diverse range of services purposed with enhancing community outcomes. As a result of a recent change within their procurement function, they are seeking several experienced strategic sourcing professionals to join their team and lead complex strategic sourcing projects that will truly make a difference. Your new role With strong executive support, you will be responsible for the delivery of complex strategic sourcing projects, from scope creation through to contract execution - with particular responsibility for high value, high risk procurement activities. Key roles and responsibilities include:

Lead, undertake and manage each stage of the procurement process including market research, mapping requirements, scoping market approaches and developing market documents, managing bid processes, bid evaluations, developing contracts, leading tender evaluation teams and conducting supplier negotiations
Develop and maintain relationships with broad groups of organisational stakeholders to ensure strategic sourcing approaches are aligned with broader organisational priorities
Aligning sourcing approaches with relevant Victorian Government policies, including adhering to the Victorian Government Purchasing Board guidelines and the use of relevant State Purchase Contacts (where relevant)

What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate broad sourcing capability, with the ability to lead and manage multi-million dollar sourcing events independently, across a broad range of goods, services and technology. This role is really purposed towards someone who has operated in a highly strategic sourcing role, and while Victorian Government experience is not necessarily mandatory, a healthy appreciation of governance and compliance is an absolute necessity. Given the broad scope of this organisation's spend, being category agnostic with the ability to engage with and deliver for a broad groups of stakeholders with diverse needs is essential.
