About Us
Our Bakkavor business in Bo’ness, based near Falkirk, specialises in the production of fresh, high quality salad products working primarily with premium retailers. To give a feel for the scale of manufacturing in Bo’ness we produce over 70million salad-based meals and side dishes from our 2 manufacturing facilities employing over 1200 people in the town.
Our production lines are non-stop, 24/7. Whether you’ve an electrical or mechanical bias, you’ll provide a full maintenance engineering service to the business. You’ll act fast, find solutions and make sure our equipment is always 100% available and reliable. Resulting in safe and efficient production on time, every time.
The Role
This role is to provide management on key engineering services including purchase orders and invoicing. It will also encompass a major emphasis on stock control and management, which will include working to critical spares and minimum stock levels. All systems are to be maintained to a high standard with focus on value added tasksJob Accountabilities
- Stock management, including purchase orders, invoices, and computerized stock system control
- Supplier management and negotiation
- Budgetary & stock reports for analytical diagnoses
- Manage stores systems including allocation of stock and stock taking
- Ensuring redundancy / obsolescence is within budgetary set points
- Implementing and maintaining best practices within stock management
- Liaising with group procurement to ensure all known and future developments are known and implemented
- All tasks delegated by the Site Engineering Manager
You will ideally have experience in a food manufacturing environment and be used to working at a fast pace.
