Infant Care Teacher

• Working Days: 5 Day work week
• Working Location: Hillview / Bukit Batok

Job Duties:

• Support the learning and development of infants and toddlers through interactive and stimulating experiences.
• Create a special bond with these little ones as you partner their families and witness their development.
• Partner with parents to foster the holistic development of infants and toddlers

• Must be EY1 or EY2
• Preferably with 1-2 years of relevant work experience

Job Description

• Manage teaching staff to act and deliver according to school's policies and curriculum.
• Hold meetings and planning of staff rosters.
• Handle administrative work to meet the compliance and regulatory requirements for the centre's operation.
• Facilitate day to day centre operation. Inclusive of childcare / infant care services.
• Mentor and appraise teachers in their performance effectively.
• Responsible for SPARK application process.
• Establish rapport with parents and community.
• Other ad-hoc duties when required.

Requirements

• Diploma in Preschool Education-Leadership (DPL)
• At least 2 years of relevant supervisory experience in a preschool setting.
• Experience in handling SPARK Accreditation process has an added advantage.

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description:

1. Plan, supervise and deliver teaching programme in accordance with the policies and philosophy of Starshine Montessori.

2. Implement prescribed curriculum and prepare necessary teaching resources

3. Keep accurate records of children’s progress and address children’s educational and developmental needs individually

4. Prepare semi-annual developmental portfolio for PTM

5. Maintain a positive relationship with parents via communication app by updating them regularly on children's activities in school and addressing any concerns they have

6. Guide and supervise the Assistant Teacher in the classroom

7. Be responsible for the upkeep of teaching resources, arrangement, appearance, decorations and learning environment of the classroom

8. Work closely with colleagues and management to ensure a conducive environment for teaching and learning

9. Be familiar with all working curriculum documents, handbooks and policy manuals

Job Requirements:

1. Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education OR Teaching: ACEY L1/L2 certified

2. Fluent in English or Chinese (spoken and written) as lessons are conducted in English or Chinese

3. Team-player and nurturing with a passion for teaching young children

4. Excellent interpersonal and classroom management skills

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals to children, including breakfast, lunch and tea break.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen and dining areas at all times.
• Handle daily grocery purchases for the center.
• General cleaning classrooms, toilets, pantry and learning corners, etc

Requirements:

• Experience in childcare settings is advantageous.
• No minimum education required.
• Possession of a Food Handling certificate
• Punctual and responsible.
• Preferred candidates who can commence work soon.
