Primary Responsibilities

To ensure that the Group’s computer systems, applications and operations are functional and according to the audit standards.

Job Functions

• Assist the IT Manager in maintaining the Group’s IT infrastructure is running efficiently and maintained in accordance with the security specifications stated in the hotel’s inner network’s security roadmap.
• Monitor and report on the operational efficiency of the IT systems and take appropriate remedial measures to correct systems inadequacies.
• To ensure IT systems are operating smoothly through implementation of effective maintenance programs (such as to apply and update software patches), installations of anti-virus kits to protect the system network and run tests on software before implementation.
• To ensure guests and staff requests are handled promptly and guests’ feedbacks are channeled to the appropriate Supervisor/ Manager.
• To educate end users on the correct usage of IT systems and provide first line user support services before referring to vendor support, if required.
• To document all IT tasks and procedures properly so as to enhance the work flow.
• Always adhere to Company and Hotel rules and regulations To attend and take remedy actions for all IT related audit issues.

2. The role directs the multi-year vision for Digital Marketing & Loyalty for Park Hotel Group and is accountable for the development and implementation of best-in-class direct channel initiatives to drive performance and guest satisfaction throughout guest touchpoints.
3. Digital Marketing & Loyalty leads the implementation of marketing initiatives and ensures alignment with Distribution & Revenue, Sales, Communications and Technology team. The role is accountable for the delivery of all budgeted system revenues and responsible for the delivery of marketing messages through owned, earned, paid media and distribution channels for Park Hotel Group

Job Function

1. Financial Returns

• Set strategic direction for the distribution functions, including, but not limited to, Digital & Loyalty, optimise content, channel optimisation, enhance booking tools, new payment model, within the region and drive delivery against stretching performance to grow key metrics against agreed targets.
• Sponsor and/or lead multi-functional, cross-regional task forces/project groups to scope and implement new channel platforms in-tune with overall strategic prioritisation.
• Influence the annual global strategic planning process to represent key initiatives and focus markets

We are looking for a Purchasing Executive (5 months contract - maternity cover) who will help us Purchasing related activities for Park Hotel Group.

What You Will Do

• To effectively and efficiently assist the Finance Manager.
• To take charge of purchasing activities of the department which involves sourcing, calling for tenders, updating suppliers’ information, product evaluations and substitutions, price negotiations and comparisons, quality checks, purchasing, etc.
• To draw up a list of authorized suppliers which PHG will buy its products based on price competitiveness, product reliability/quality and other relevant factors.
• To perform purchasing activities and ensure goods are delivered in a timely manner. And perform occasional request for global purchases for PHG hotels.
• To effectively source for suppliers and to obtain the best possible quote from the suppliers for all items, without compromising on minimum quality and standards.
• To carry out periodic price evaluations of PHG’s purchases thereby ensuring that the Group is paying fair and competitive prices.
• To be updated on products availability based on market trends or seasonal supplies and to inform relevant Heads of Department accordingly.
• To provide a high level of purchasing services to department managers and kitchen management regarding the products purchased and daily marketing items.
• To conduct Performance Evaluation of Vendors with end users, a key process of measuring the capabilities and performance of vendor before the expiry of the Contract.
• To advise department managers on product information, substitution availability, etc.
• To attend to complaints and feedback from user’s department on purchasing matters and to take appropriate actions with suppliers that provide these products/services which do not meet the desired quality/standard.
• To contribute toward the F&B sales of outlets by ensuring that they provide good quality food and beverage through good purchasing strategies.
• To assist in purchasing tasks on F&B outlets, corporate office and hotels.

• Develop and formalize the format and supporting details of the group annual budget.
• Support the hotel finance teams to ensure the accuracy and timely submission of monthly financial reports to the management.
• Support the hotel finance teams in the preparation of budgets, review budget proposals as well as review performance against budget and provide recommendations on corrective actions.
• Monitor and interpret financial performance, make recommendations and develop insights to enhance business performance of the Group.
• Ensure smooth implementation of financial systems, purchasing systems and its integration to the property management systems.
• Responsible for the preparation of annual statutory accounts for entities in the Group to ensure compliance with the local/international accounting standards and local regulatory requirements.
• Assist in treasury operations including cashflow forecasts.
• Responsible for the corporate tax and GST matters for entities in the Group.
• Establish and review internal controls and business processes for further enhancements and development.
• Coordinate with external and internal auditors and tax agents.
• To undertake related duties or tasks that may be assigned by the Superior from time to time.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accountancy or ACCA or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 - 8 years working experience with at least 3-4 years of experience in audit.
• Experience in hospitality industry and/or fund management industry or audit experience in hospitality industry will be advantageous.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
• Strong proficiency in English and Mandarin, both spoken and written.
