We are seeking an AAT-qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA accountant, seeking a role within a supportive business to develop through to qualification. (Study Support Available)

What will I be doing?
Working in a team of 15 reporting to the Financial Controller
Support the Finance team with month-end and year-end tasks including accruals, prepayments, ledger maintenance and balance sheet reconciliations ensuring timely and accurate management accounts
Prepare and enter allocated month end journals.
Reconcile overhead costs versus budget/forecast
Complete allocated tasks as part of month end close processes
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
Analysing P&L movements against the budget and prior months to provide commentary around variances.
Prepare Quarterly VAT returns
Manage Fixed Asset register and transition from manual entries to system generated register.
Creation of adhoc payment journals and remittances
Bank Reconciliation
Assist with cashflow forecasting.
Staff Corporate credit card management and processing of expense claims.
Various other ad-hoc accounting duties as required.
Support the team with the quarterly balance sheet review.
Requirements:
Studying towards CIMA/ACCA
A strong background in Finance, with experience working in a busy Finance department.
Experience in inventory accounting is desirable
Be able to use your initiative and be self-motivated
Knowledge of accounts processing, accruals, prepayments, invoice processing and income.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
