Job Description

As a member of the National Standardisation Programme, you will work closely with industry partners from government agencies, institutions of higher learning, professional bodies, and industry associations to identify, develop and promote standards to support the transportation industry.

Job Scope

· Provide project leadership and is responsible for overall project performance;

· Prepare, track, manage project deliverables from start to end;

· Ensure project timeliness, and provide secretariat support such as preparation of agendas, meeting minutes, report compilation, formatting of standards drafts, etc;

· Engage standards partners and external agencies in standards development work;

· Organise and manage promotional events; and

· Collate information, data and feedback for standards development related activities.

Requirements

· Minimum Bachelor’s Degree;

· Preferably with at least two (2) years of relevant work experience, though what is most important is a passion for quality and standards, and the desire to contribute

· Presentable, good writing and communication skills;

· Ability to think critically and possess good interpersonal skills to work well with standards partners;

· Ability to work independently and is a team player; and

· Project management experience and good IT skills are advantageous.

Job Description

· Handle full set of accounts including AR/AP/GL and assist in year-end closing

· Prepare monthly bank reconciliation and audit schedule – event accrual, advanced receipts listing, etc.

· Prepare Quarterly GST reporting

· Verify and input all vendor invoices ensuring event code/name are assigned correctly

· Submit e-invoice via government portal

· Verify staff claims, part-timer salaries and CPF

· Issue external and internal billing

· Reconcile payment received (pay modes e.g. SFC, paypal, AXS, Nets, Bank Transfer and cheque vs. monthly event closing list

· Any other adhoc duties as assigned

· Ability to recommend and implement processes

Job Requirements

· Minimum Diploma in Accounting

· At least 3 years of relevant working experience in Accounting

· Knowledge of MYOB accounting system will be an added advantage

· Must be able to meet monthly reporting deadlines

· Multi-taskng with positive attitude

· Able to handle full set of accounts

· Team player, independent, strong analytical skills and able to work with minimum supervision

· Strong Excel skills

Responsibilities:

• To administer registries’ applicants (New & Renewal), check for completeness include receipt of payment and maintain databases.
• To update documentation & website
• To provide progressive registries update, coordinate report information.
• To coordinate and facilitate registries’ assessments sessions
• To organise & facilitate meeting with registries’ stakeholders
• To organise yearly registries seminar and networking events
• To administer continuous professional development (CPD) request and send to Committee for approval.

· Work with IHLs and training providers to establish Assessment Centre to support Chartership registration

· Work with various sector committees to accredit training providers as Assessment Centre

• To support IES major events in registration
• To perform any other duties assigned by immediate supervisor

Job Requirements

• Minimum Diploma Holder or Degree holder in any discipline, preferable in Engineering.
• Minimum 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the full set of financial accounts, ensuring that financial data from projects is entered into the books of account and reconciled every month
• Administering payment processes to ensure that accounts are paid on time
• Produce monthly financial statements, variance analysis and forecasting for the Management Committee, managers and other stakeholders
• Oversee the annual audit process
• Prepare annual budgets in consultation with project leads and senior management
• Coordinate the budget-setting and financial processes with project managers
• Work closely with department heads to ensure allocated budgets are closely met
• Develop and execute the internal audit processes in collaboration with senior management
• Oversee grants application and donor administration, including processing of grants/donations, issuing of tax-deductible receipts and prepare necessary submission of donor information to IRAS
• Handle statutory submissions to authorities and ensure compliance with statutory laws and financial regulations
• Increases efficiency by developing or implementing automated solutions & processes
• Any other ad hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance - CPA preferred
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience
• Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting standards and management reporting requirements
• Good analytical thought process and business acumen, able to anticipate issues and offer ideas for resolution
• Knowledge of requirements by Charities and IPC regulations is advantageous
• Experience in managing/coordinating external audit is required, and internal audit processes
• Have a positive work ethic and determination in getting things done within tight deadlines
• Meticulous and organised, with a mature disposition to take ownership of projects and targets assigned
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Able to work within a small dynamic team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
