Position: Costing Engineer
📍 Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia
📅 Contract Duration: Short Term
Key Responsibilities
- Support cost estimation, financial analysis, and cost control activities across the project lifecycle
- Lead costing activities on site under supervision
- Participate in cost estimation meetings and contribute to deliverables approval
- Prepare and review project documentation while ensuring quality and schedule compliance
- Collaborate with engineering teams to address cost-related issues
- Develop CAPEX and OPEX estimates
- Perform cost benchmarking and analyze vendor quotations
- Support value engineering and evaluate cost impact of project changes
- Monitor project cost performance and ensure alignment with project requirements
- Interface with client, EPC contractor, and authorities
Requirements - Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Registered with BEM or recognized professional body
- Minimum 6 years of experience in cost engineering or related field
- Strong experience in:
- Financial modelling
- Cost benchmarking
- Risk and contingency analysis
- Based in Sarawak or eligible for Sarawak working permit
Additional Information
- Full-time on-site role in Kuching (no remote work)
- Candidates will be required to support activities at client and stakeholder locations when needed
- Candidates are expected to use their own working equipment (laptop/software)
