Good culture, but job security is tricky
Pros: The team here is super collaborative. I learned a ton as a Junior Graphic Designer, working on some really cool projects in the graphic design industry. The hybrid work model is also a big plus for flexibility.
Cons: Job security feels pretty low, especially for project-based roles. Contracts can end suddenly, which makes long-term planning tough. There's not always a clear path to full-time conversion after a project wraps.
Advice to Management: Try to offer more clarity on future opportunities for project-based staff. It would help retain talent if there was a clearer path to full-time roles or at least more notice.

Leadership Has Room to Grow Here
Pros: As a Junior Architect, I've worked on some genuinely cool architectural design projects. The immediate team is super supportive, which helps a lot. Plus, the hybrid work model is a solid perk.
Cons: Leadership can feel really disconnected from daily operations. It's tough to get clear direction, especially for us entry-level designers. Senior architects seem overloaded, so mentorship isn't really happening.
Advice to Management: Upper management needs to spend more time understanding what's happening on the ground. Provide better mentorship programs for junior staff and support for senior project leads. Clearer communication on project goals would also make a huge difference.

Hybrid model has its good and bad points
Pros: Work flexibility here is okay, especially for those in the Atlanta office who can easily pop in. We do have a hybrid model now for our design projects, which is a step up from being fully onsite. It's nice to have a couple WFH days.
Cons: The 'flexible' part of the hybrid model sometimes feels rigid; you still need to be in for key meetings or certain CAD work. As a Junior Architect, it's tough to get real flexibility if a project demands long hours, even when remote. It's not a truly remote-first setup.
Advice to Management: Give more autonomy regarding WFH days, especially for individual contributor design roles. Trust your employees more with how they manage their time.

Pay is okay, benefits need a boost
Pros: The base salary for a Junior Designer is pretty standard. It's not top-tier, but you can live in Los Angeles on it. There's a 401k match which is a solid benefit for creative agency roles.
Cons: I feel like the healthcare options aren't great. Premiums are high and coverage isn't as comprehensive as I'd like for post-production work. There aren't many extra perks or bonuses here.
Advice to Management: Maybe look into better healthcare plans or introduce some performance bonuses for the creative teams. It would really help with retention in this competitive digital media market.

Culture Is Pretty Good, Work Can Be Intense
Pros: The team camaraderie is a huge plus here. Everyone helps out on creative projects, especially when deadlines hit. It really feels like a mid-sized agency with a tight-knit group. We have fun team lunches and social events.
Cons: Work-life balance can suffer sometimes in this agency environment. There's a lot of pressure, especially for Project Coordinator roles. Communication from upper management in the Atlanta office could be better. Sometimes it feels like information trickles down slowly.
Advice to Management: Focus on better transparency from the top. Help teams manage their workloads better so burnout isn't so common.

Okay Place, But Compensation Needs Work
Pros: I've gotta say, the creative projects we worked on as a graphic designer were really engaging. There's a solid 401k match, which is decent for a mid-sized design studio. Plus, the health insurance benefits were pretty comprehensive, covering a good chunk of medical costs.
Cons: The base salary for design roles in Los Angeles, CA, really isn't competitive, especially with the cost of living here. Raises were minimal, often just 1-2% yearly, which barely keeps up with inflation. Don't expect big bonuses either; they're pretty rare in this corporate environment.
Advice to Management: Seriously reconsider the salary bands for all design roles. We're losing good talent to competitors offering much more. Investing in competitive pay for the Los Angeles market would make a huge difference.

Good Design Work, Culture Needs Improvement
Pros: I've learned a ton here, especially on complex architectural projects. The team collaboration among fellow Architectural Designers is really solid. You get to work on some cool stuff in the New York City office.
Cons: The company culture can feel a bit old-school and hierarchical. There's not much transparency from senior leadership, which gets frustrating. Sometimes it feels like you're just a cog in a big design firm.
Advice to Management: Focus on improving communication and creating a more inclusive environment. Open up channels for feedback from all levels, especially for junior staff.

Pay's okay, but you won't get rich here
Pros: Medical benefits are pretty solid for a mid-sized design firm. I felt secure with the coverage. For an Architectural Designer, it's a decent baseline.
Cons: Salary really isn't competitive for the Los Angeles market. It's tough when you see what other architecture projects pay. Don't expect big bonuses or regular raises either.
Advice to Management: To attract and keep talent in this competitive design firm environment, re-evaluate salary bands, especially for experienced Architectural Designer positions in Los Angeles. Consider performance-based bonuses.

Decent Place, Just Be Ready for the Pace
Pros: The team here is generally supportive. I learned a lot collaborating on complex architecture projects as an Architectural Designer. There's a real sense of shared goal when deadlines hit.
Cons: Work-life balance can be tough in the New York City office. It's not uncommon to pull late nights, especially when project phases are tight. Sometimes feedback feels a bit ad-hoc, not very structured.
Advice to Management: Try to implement clearer guidelines for work hours and project scoping. Better structured feedback would also really help staff development.

Pay's Okay, Benefits Could Be Better
Pros: The health benefits are decent for a larger corporate structure, which is good. You get pretty standard PTO and a 401k match, which is nice for us in the Atlanta office. As a Junior Graphic Designer, I appreciated the consistent paychecks.
Cons: Salaries for design agency positions here are a bit low compared to the market. There aren't many bonus opportunities, and raises aren't huge at all. It's tough to negotiate a higher starting salary in media production roles.
Advice to Management: Seriously look at the compensation for creative roles. We're doing good work, but the pay for design agency talent isn't competitive. Offer more performance bonuses.
