Pros: You can definitely find a decent work-life balance here if you pick the right client projects. As a Software Engineer, my hybrid work setup allowed for good flexibility. Some teams and managers really value personal time and aren't constantly pushing for overtime.
Cons: However, it's pretty common in IT consulting for delivery deadlines to lead to crunch time. It's tough to consistently maintain 40-hour weeks when projects get demanding. You sometimes have to actively push back, which can feel awkward.

Pros: For a big corporate environment in IT consulting, the work-life balance isn't terrible here. I found that as a Software Developer, my core hours were pretty standard, usually 40 hours a week. The hybrid model in the Montreal office helps a lot, letting me split time between home and the office.
Cons: It really depends on your project though. Some clients demand a lot, leading to crunch periods where 50+ hours are common. Can feel like there's pressure to constantly be 'on' even with the hybrid model. Sometimes you're just expected to work late.
