Work-life balance is decent but expect crunch times.
Pros: For Software Engineer roles, the day-to-day is usually solid. We often get 40-hour weeks. The hybrid work model helps, giving some flexibility for personal stuff.
Cons: But there are definitely crunch times, especially before big product launches. Expect some late nights and weekend work when project deadlines hit. It's hard to avoid burnout during those periods.
Advice to Management: Try to smooth out project deadlines more. It'd help a lot with burnout for us Software Engineers.

Pay is Decent for Tech, Benefits Need Work
Pros: As a Software Engineer, the base salary here is pretty competitive for the Austin, TX market. They've got a decent 401k match too, which helps with retirement planning. The annual bonus structure is a nice perk if the company hits its goals.
Cons: The health insurance premiums are definitely on the higher side, it's a real hit to your take-home pay. PTO accrual isn't the best compared to other mid-sized tech companies. The overall benefits package just feels a bit lacking for the IT industry.
Advice to Management: Re-evaluate the health insurance options and consider better PTO accrual rates to stay competitive for top tech talent.

Decent Place, but Leadership Needs Work
Pros: The projects are genuinely interesting, especially in quantum computing applications. Pay is competitive for a mid-sized tech company in San Jose, CA. You'll definitely learn a lot in software development here.
Cons: Leadership often struggles with clear communication and consistent vision. It's tough as a Software Engineer when priorities shift constantly. The corporate environment can feel a bit stifling, making innovation harder.
Advice to Management: Senior leadership needs to work on transparency and setting clearer strategic goals. Better project management would really help the engineering teams.
