Pros: The benefits package for an Applications Engineer is pretty solid. The 401k match and health insurance are good for a big corporate company like Sensata Technologies. You get decent coverage.
Cons: Pay here is just okay; salary increases aren't huge year to year. It's tough to negotiate a significant raise, especially for those in manufacturing technology. Don't expect top-tier compensation compared to other industries in the Attleboro, MA area.
Advice to Management: Look at market rates for engineers more closely, especially for skilled roles in sensor manufacturing. Retention would improve if compensation was more competitive.

Pros: Some teams do offer a good hybrid model, which is nice. It's usually okay if you need to leave for an appointment during the day, managers are generally cool with it. This really helps with little life things when you're mostly in the Attleboro office.
Cons: As a Hardware Engineer, true remote work is really tough; you're often tied to the lab for testing sensor technology. For roles in the automotive industry, deadlines can mean long onsite hours, and there's not much wiggle room. The general policy for hands-on engineering is still very much onsite.
Advice to Management: Consider more structured remote options for roles that can truly be done remotely without impacting productivity. Be more upfront about specific onsite expectations for hardware engineering roles, especially those requiring consistent lab access.

Pros: As an Electrical Engineer, the work-life balance is pretty decent. We generally stick to 40-hour weeks in the Attleboro, MA office, especially with the hybrid model. It's a solid corporate environment.
Cons: Sometimes projects in sensor technology ramp up hard, and you're stuck doing extra hours. There isn't much flexibility to shift hours around when it gets busy. Management could be better about managing project scope.
Advice to Management: Focus on better project planning to avoid crunch times for the engineering teams. Improve communication between different departments.
