We can trace our origin back to 1866, when the first European condensed milk factory was opened in Cham, Switzerland, by the Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company. One year later, Henri Nestlé, a trained pharmacist, launched one of the world’s first prepared infant cereals ‘Farine lactée’ in Vevey, Switzerland.
Today, we employ around 273,000 people and have factories or operations in almost every country in the world. With our headquarters still based in the Swiss town of Vevey, we had sales of CHF 84.3 billion in 2020.

Pros: You get pretty solid benefits working at a big corporate like Nestlé. The hybrid model is nice, allowing some WFH flexibility which helps with personal appointments. As a Marketing Associate, there's a lot of exposure to the food and beverage industry.
Cons: Work-life balance can really swing; some weeks it's 40 hours, others it's closer to 55-60 hours, especially for new product launches. It's hard to consistently turn off, even with the hybrid model. There's pressure to be 'on' all the time.
Advice to Management: Try to set clearer boundaries for project timelines and expectations. Help teams avoid burnout by properly staffing and managing workloads for critical CPG sector projects.

Pros: I'd say the best part is how stable things are. For corporate roles like mine, you get solid benefits and there's a good sense of job security. People are generally professional, which is nice.
