Pros: You learn a ton, especially about conservation agriculture and land stewardship. As a Research Associate, I got hands-on experience in the field, which was great for my skills. The team is supportive and pretty passionate about the mission.
Cons: Career growth is pretty slow here. There aren't many opportunities for promotion, especially for mid-level roles. It felt like I hit a ceiling after about two years, and there's not much room to specialize or move up in this mid-sized non-profit.
Advice to Management: Think about creating clearer career paths and opportunities for advancement. It would help a lot with retaining talented staff who want to grow beyond entry-level positions.
