We are looking for an experienced and driven Senior Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of software solutions that support our advanced engineering systems and automation technologies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and commercial stakeholders, to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions.

Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and implement software solutions for machine projects in line with timelines.
- Lead R&D activities to create innovative software solutions and improve existing systems.
- Provide hands-on support in software development and debugging processes.
- Guide and mentor engineers and junior engineers in technical tasks and best practices.
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams to ensure seamless integration of software with machine systems.
- Support the after-sales team by addressing and resolving software-related issues.
- Document software development processes, including user manuals and technical guides.
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance software efficiency and functionality.
- Ensure all software solutions comply with industry standards and client requirements.
- Monitor project progress to ensure alignment with deadlines and deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in software development, preferably in machine, automation, or manufacturing systems.
- Hands-on experience with PLC programming and industrial control platforms (e.g. Beckhoff, Omron, Siemens) is required or highly preferred.
- Experience working with machine control systems, industrial software, or system integration is an advantage.
- Able to collaborate effectively with mechanical and electrical engineers in a project-based environment.
- Experience in mentoring or guiding junior engineers is preferred.
- Good communication skills in English & Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an added advantage).
- Willing to travel locally and overseas when required.
