Key Responsibilities
Digital Content & Social Media
● Assist in developing and managing RIM’s digital and social media presence across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, X and TikTok.
● Create engaging and informative content to promote RIM initiatives, campaigns, industry updates and events.
● Monitor social media engagement and perform basic community management to ensure positive audience interaction.
Marketing & Communications
● Assist in the preparation, coordination and distribution of marketing and communications materials across digital and traditional platforms.
● Draft, edit and proofread press releases, newsletters, announcements and other communication materials.
● Monitor media coverage and relevant industry developments within the music and entertainment sector.
Campaigns & Industry Initiatives
● Support the planning and execution of RIM campaigns, programmes and public awareness initiatives.
● Assist in implementing marketing communications strategies to promote RIM activities and industry engagement.
Project & Event Support
● Assist in the coordination and execution of RIM projects, industry programmes, campaigns and events as required.
● Prepare presentation decks, reports and supporting materials for meetings, briefings and industry discussions.
Stakeholder Coordination
● Work closely with internal teams including to ensure effective promotion of RIM initiatives.
● Liaise with external stakeholders such as media partners, sponsors, agencies and vendors to support marketing and communications activities.
Industry Collaboration
● Provide communications and promotional support for Public Performance Malaysia (PPM) initiatives and activities when required.
● Collaborate with team members to develop new ideas, creative directions and communications strategies for RIM projects and industry programmes.
General Responsibilities
● Assist in the implementation of various RIM marketing, communications and organisational initiatives from time to time.
● Perform any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned by the organisation.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Business, or a related field
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply (or specify: 1–2 years of relevant experience if needed)
- Prior experience in social media, digital marketing, or content creation is an advantage
- Good command of English (written and spoken)
- Bahasa Malaysia required; additional languages (e.g., Mandarin) are an advantage depending on business needs
