Project Engineer - Electrical / Civil

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee electrical works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, QESH (Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Health) standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure all electrical engineering aspects of the project are executed accurately and efficiently.
• Develop and implement detailed work plans, schedules, and methodologies to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Monitor and inspect construction activities to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
• Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure the timely availability of materials, equipment, and manpower.
• Identify and address technical or operational issues promptly, minimizing delays and maintaining project efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 45001 (Health and Safety) standards, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Supervise and conduct tests on civil or electrical systems to ensure functionality and compliance with design specifications.
• Identify risks related to electrical activities and implement preventive and corrective measures.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.

JOB REQUIREMENT

Educational Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in civil or electrical engineering within the construction industry, preferably in substation, power plant, or electrical infrastructure projects.
• Experience with substation building construction or related electrical infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
• Proven track record of working on large-scale construction projects, including project management, design review, and site supervision.

Skills:

• Strong technical knowledge in civil or electrical engineering principles, systems, and best practices.
• Proficient in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, or other engineering software).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound technical decisions.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of local building codes, electrical standards, and safety regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
