Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee electrical works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, QESH (Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Health) standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure all electrical engineering aspects of the project are executed accurately and efficiently.
- Develop and implement detailed work plans, schedules, and methodologies to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Monitor and inspect construction activities to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure the timely availability of materials, equipment, and manpower.
- Identify and address technical or operational issues promptly, minimizing delays and maintaining project efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 45001 (Health and Safety) standards, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Supervise and conduct tests on civil or electrical systems to ensure functionality and compliance with design specifications.
- Identify risks related to electrical activities and implement preventive and corrective measures.
- Liaise with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
JOB REQUIREMENT
Educational Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in civil or electrical engineering within the construction industry, preferably in substation, power plant, or electrical infrastructure projects.
- Experience with substation building construction or related electrical infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of working on large-scale construction projects, including project management, design review, and site supervision.
Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge in civil or electrical engineering principles, systems, and best practices.
- Proficient in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, or other engineering software).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound technical decisions.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of local building codes, electrical standards, and safety regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
