Pros: You get to learn a lot really fast, which is solid for your healthcare career development at a big corporate hospital. There's good camaraderie among the nursing team, which helps you get through those long shifts.
Cons: Work-life balance is a real struggle for registered nurse roles here. Long hours and frequent overtime are common, often because of understaffing. It's hard to maintain any personal life outside of work.
Advice to Management: Management really needs to address the staffing levels for nursing staff. Investing in more hires would significantly improve employee morale and indirectly, patient care.
