Decent flexibility for some, but not for all roles
It's a mixed bag at We. Some roles definitely get good flexibility, but if you're in operations or an onsite support role like a Community Manager, don't expect much work from home. The coworking space industry demands a lot of physical presence.
For some of the more corporate roles, there's good work flexibility. I've heard our design team can work hybrid a few days a week, which is a nice perk for a big tech company like us. It helps with personal appointments.
But honestly, as a Community Manager, true work from home is pretty rare. You're expected to be onsite daily managing the coworking space, especially in a busy location like the New York City office. It makes work-life balance a bit tough sometimes.
Consider implementing a more consistent hybrid work model across all departments where feasible. Even a day or two remote per week for onsite roles would significantly improve employee satisfaction and work-life balance for people supporting our New York City offices.
