Project Coordinator

Flexibility is okay, but could be better for corporate roles
Pros: Some hybrid work is a nice perk. For us Project Coordinator roles, you can often arrange specific days in the Kuala Lumpur office. It's good to have some control over your week.
Cons: Full remote work is pretty rare though; most teams are expected onsite. It feels like flexibility isn't really encouraged beyond basic hybrid for most corporate environment roles. Adjusting daily hours is tough too.
Advice to Management: Trust employees more with their schedules. Genuine work-from-home options for corporate staff would really boost morale.

Work-life balance is okay, but demands can be high.
Pros: The team in the Kuala Lumpur office is generally supportive, which helps a lot when projects get intense. As a Marketing Specialist, I've had some good learning opportunities, especially in the e-commerce sector. They do offer standard benefits which is decent.
Cons: The expectations for onsite work can be really demanding, often pushing past standard 40-hour weeks. It's tough to maintain personal time when you're frequently staying late. Work-life balance for roles like mine definitely needs improvement.
Advice to Management: Really look at how project timelines are set and how much is expected from employees, especially for those in marketing. More realistic deadlines would greatly help with employee burnout and improve work-life balance across the multinational corporate environment.
