Solid Job Security, Good for Remote Engineering Roles
Pros: QES really has good job security. As a Software Engineer working remote from Austin, I've seen projects run for years, which means stability. They don't do big, sudden layoffs like some other tech companies, which is a huge relief.
Cons: While job security is solid, sometimes you get stuck on the same long-term data quality projects for too long. It can make career growth feel slow if you're trying to learn new software development skills.
Advice to Management: Think about clearer paths for career growth and how to rotate engineers onto different data quality projects more often. It would keep us engaged and our skills current.
