The Data Protection Lead will assist the Chief Information Security Officer to establish and maintain robust governance and oversight over data protection. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the way we handle, govern, and enhance our data assets, and comply with data protection laws and regulations.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist with the development, review, update and/or implementation of data protection-related framework, policy, guideline and/or initiative(s) to facilitate effective risk management and governance over data risk and data protection.

Role Description

1. Fully understand the technical concepts being offered by the Group of Companies (GoC) in Green Energy Solutions (GES) (i.e. Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency, Energy Storage, Electric Mobility, etc.) especially Solar PV Systems, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), EV charging infrastructure, etc.
2. Participate in proposal preparation, quotation, costing process/evaluation (if applicable) and participate in tender preparation and communicate with customer clearly in person and via official communication channels.
3. To efficiently & effectively develop, manage and monitor investment projects such as GES (RE/EE/EV) investments for GoC (exclusively for Solar PPA/EE EPC only).
4. Maintain/manage a good relationship with Key Account Client (KAC) and help work closely with Project Team to resolve operational related matters (when necessary) to ensure a high performance level is constantly maintained with KAC to position the GoC for obtaining more constant project leads which will be converted to sales revenue.
5. Develop new relationship with potential new Key Account Client (KAC) by engaging on educating/perform marketing activities (i.e. New Product/Technology or Case Study presentation) to develop business opportunities (i.e. new project to solve specific technical problem with the GoC’s technological solution). The end goal is to secure the potential KAC to be a permanent KAC after securing a project which contributes to the Group’s revenue and profitability.
6. To understand the concept of promoting the GES solutions (offered by GoC) for different types of application across different industries. (For any assistance, employee shall seek training needs from supervisor or company subject experts (internally/externally).
7. Gather customer business short/medium/long term needs/requirements to tailor the right solution with GoC’s products & solutions to help the customer succeed in its project goals.
8. To be aware of company’s/department’s Annual KPI (i.e. target revenue and profit) and stay on track. To discuss on solutions and challenges at any time to ensure alignment with all stakeholders to achieve KPI.

• Identifying, initiating and implementing services on Vocational and Educational Training (VET) by establishing and developing business opportunities with partners.
• Handling the acquisition of local and international companies as well as training institutions across Malaysia to drive the expansion of VET programs and client base. This includes but not limited to developing and/or implementing further training and upskilling programs and professions according to the industries’ needs.
• Identifying the vocational training needs of German and Malaysian companies to be active in Malaysia and ensuring the development of curricula and training systems under the German Dual Vocational Training (GDVT) scheme as well as local education standards for new programs and further trainings in Malaysia.
• Coordinating and moderating the activities of relevant platforms, such as the TVET Board, Vocational Training Board, Industry Boards, Exam Boards, Malaysian Meister Industry Board, and others if and when required.
• Working closely with participating companies to ensure excellent on-the-job training and continuous improvement of the training programs. Actively seeking feedback from customers.
• Actively communicating and cooperating with Malaysian/German training companies and certification bodies throughout the country. This includes domestic business travels around Malaysia.
• Introducing the VET programs to the Malaysian ministries, governmental bodies and companies, including presentations at meetings and conferences, coordinated with or requested by the Area Head.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• • Lead the accounts team that covers wide spectrum of finance functions; management and financial accounting, commercial, contract management, plant accounting,inventory control, credit control, capital spending;
  • Manage and review full set of accounts of 5 to 6 related companies.
  • To prepare audit schedules for year-end audit and tax submission.
  • To carry out monthly tasks including monthly profit and loss, including compilation & finalization of monthly accounts for monthly Finance Department meeting.
  • To analyze company financial status and budget planning exercise periodically.
  • To lead and supervise subordinates for continuous work improvement & efficiency.

JOB REQUIREMENT

• • Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate, Bachelor's Degree/Post-Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent.
  • Preferably someone with Audit background
  • Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin
  • Candidates who are fluent in Mandarin are preferred because the role requires candidates to interact with Mandarin-speaking clients.
  • At least 7 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
