For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Engineer, Software Development to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.
This role will focus on building secure, scalable APIs and microservices that support critical digital banking and onboarding workflows. You will partner closely with product, architecture, operations, and compliance stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions that meet business and regulatory expectations. The position also calls for technical leadership through code reviews, mentorship, and architectural guidance to strengthen engineering execution across the team.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $121,400 – $173,300 annually
Responsibilities
- Design and develop APIs and microservices for onboarding workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements.
- Perform code reviews and mentor team members on best engineering practices.
- Ensure system compliance with SLA standards and develop monitoring systems.
- Contribute to incident response and reliability improvements.
- Draft architecture and design documentation for decision-making.
- Evaluate and assess emerging technologies for potential adoption.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating secure, standards-compliant code across platforms.
- Proficient in C#, .NET, SQL, and experienced with Azure services and container technologies.
- Deep understanding of RESTful API design and OAuth2.
- Familiarity with microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with observability platforms like Datadog or Grafana.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and compliance standards in financial services.
